Teaching Resilience through Goalball
“How do I organise and teach Lead Up Goalball?”
“How does an inclusive sports program or competition look like?”
“How do I facilitate the learning of values through Goalball?”
Discover Goalball Train-the-trainers workshop
Educators will find answers to these questions and even get to play Goalball with an athlete with visual impairment at this workshop.
Coach Hansen will also be sharing about his study trip to New South Wales (NSW) where more than 150 primary and high schools compete annually in three unified sports.
- Experience and learn how to facilitate Lead Up Goalball.
- Interact and learn from a visually-impaired athlete on how she makes full use of what is within her control to overcome her daily challenges
- Describe how an inter-school unified sports competition would look like (NSW Case Study).
- Apply guiding principles (e.g., TREE model, Constraints Triangle) to adapt sessions for participants with different abilities.
This workshop is led by Coach Hansen, and assisting him is national Goalball athlete, Joan Hung.
