CYC A Champion’s Mindset

A Champion's Mindset

If you are tempted to say “I Can’t”,
have the courage to add “Yet”!

A Champion's Mindset

Talking about the Growth Mindset is one option… But… Engaging kids and youths in a fun manner where they can physically and emotionally experience the thinking routines that can help them to be resilient would be even better!

So what if we know how the Growth and Fixed Mindset looks like?

Most of us may be more familiar with the Growth and Fixed Mindset today. However, we may not know how to steer our thoughts towards the Growth Mindset when faced with challenges.

This program will show your students how they can enjoy learning and develop a resilience that is the basis of great accomplishments not only in sports, but in life as well. Students will learn about Mindset in a fun and experiential manner. Not only would they experience the thinking routines (associated with the Growth Mindset and Resilience) that will help them get better at the team challenges, they will also reflect on how the same thinking routines can be applied to challenges in their personal lives.

*Clinical psychology researchers Jessica Schleider, Madelaine Abel, and John Weisz performed a very thorough review of 17 studies involving over 6,500 students and found that’ fixed mindset youth were 58% more likely to show more severe symptoms of anxiety, depression, or aggression.
